AIESEC in SMU is conducting an information talk about our recruitment for AIESEC Development Program!
AIESEC Development Program provides an enriching AIESEC Experience for you, which consists of international internship, leadership roles and global learning environment through international conferences and even more. There are three types of AIESEC Development Program - Issue-based Experience, Corporate-based Experience and People-based Experience.
There will be two types of information talk:
1) AIESEC Experience with Management / Technical Traineeship Info Talk
29 January, Friday 7-8pm at LKCSB SR 2.8
2) AIESEC Experience with Developmental / Educational Traineeship Info Talk
28 January, Thursday 7-8pm at LKCSB SR 2.4
**In AIESEC, international exchange = internship = traineeship.

FAQ
1) Is there a need to go for the entire development program? Can I just apply to go for internship?
No, as an AIESECer, you have to undergo the integrated AIESEC development program. This is to ensure that your experience is enriching and will allow you to have personal development as a global learner and leader.
2) What is Management, Technical, Developmental and Educational Traineeship?
Management Traineeship (MT) - The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government, university or other organization and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to management. These areas may include finance, accounting, marketing, project management, organizational management or human resources. Estimated exchange period is 6-12 months.
Technical Traineeship (TT) - The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government, university or organization and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to information technology or engineering projects. These areas may include web development and management, software development and programming, system analysis and design, network management and database management. Technical skills, experience and expertise are required to participate in this type of internship. Estimated exchange period is 6-12 months.
Development Traineeship (DT) - The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government, university or organization and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to community development issues. These areas may include children’s rights, environmental issues, education, rural development and entrepreneurship. Estimated exchange period is 8 weeks.
Education Traineeship (ET) – The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government, university or organization and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to Education. These areas may include teaching a language, teaching another subject in another language, curriculum development, character development, career counseling, cultural interaction and perspective promotion in academic fields or sectors. The student must have academic and working backgrounds in the field of education. Estimated exchange period is 6 weeks.
